The Hargreaves Promotion 2012

Hey everyone!

If you guys are following me on twitter and facebook you will have seen the photographs I took at the weekend of The Hargreaves.

As many of you will have seen I have photographed one of The Hargreaves Steph Hargreaves for the cover of Image 34 magazine (Read it here). So after doing those shots Elena Hargreaves also asked if we would shoot them both for promotional work. Of course I said yes two these very talented girls!

 

We were very very lucky with the weather on Saturday and we found a beautiful location in Surrey. The team consisted of myself taking the photographs. Stlying by my trusty stylist Alex Hardman, Make Up by Bobbie Ross who was new to the team and Videographer Sam Milletti with a behind the scenes which should be coming very soon.

 So yes. New to the team was Bobbie Ross who did an amazing job on the girls. She was very efficient and if anyone needs a make up girl you should use her! The other good thing about Bobbie is she was relaxed and fun to work with which is always good.

 And as usual I had my very trusty stylist Alex Hardan on stlying. Such a trooper as said before, finishing work at 2 am driving to mine to have only 3 hours sleep before I woke her up. But so prepared and really did an amazing job on the girls. The clothes work with them perfectly and really brought what the girls are about to life. She also did an amazing job on the hair (girl with many talents).

 Sam again did the behind the scenes filming which will be here very soon. We were pushed for time on that day but again he caught every moment and I can't wait for you all to see it. But for now his new short Ache has just come out so click here to view that.

Then onto these amazing sisters. Steph I met through chance of seeing another photographer who had photographed her. This led to me sending her to Sam the videographer who wanted to do a music video with Steph. This led to us working on two music videos and some amazing photographs being taken. The great thing about working with Steph is there has been a friendship formed outside of work. When we are doing the shoot we are focussed but for example the night before the shoot we all sat down for a cheeky chinese and laughed until our sides hurt!
Elena. First time working with her and what a delight. Brought so much fun to the shoot and had me laughing all the time singing BOYS BOYS BOYS! And again so focussed when shooting but such a laugh which I think is obvious in all the pictures.

Francesca Lever For Image 34 Magazine

Hey everyone,

I haven't shot with Francesca for a few years now as we have both just been so busy and doing our own thing. But we planned the shoot and we are so happy with the results!

One of the main reasons I love shooting with Francesca is because she is so free. She knows exactly how her own body looks and how to use it. She isn't a model that needs to warm up. You know from the very first to the very last photo, each one is going to be perfect and work! What more can I say, its such a joy to have her back infront of my lens and its been a long time coming.

 I also had my trusty stylist Alex Hardman working on the shoot who is such a trooper! That girl always pulls it out the bag and brings my shoots to life. The other great thing about working with Alex is that she brings more than you ask for. She thinks outside the box and adds that little extra to the shoot.

Sam Milletti was on the behind the scenes and I saw the very first cut today which should be up very soon and again what an amazing artist. You forget when you are so focussed on what you are doing that, whats going on around you. But he caught so many cute moments and really captured the fun that I have on my shoots.

 With the photographs themselves I have seen so many shoot where they almost use B&W as a defualt and I knew this was something I wasn't going to do. I saw the images and although I liked them in B&W I stayed with the colour. Which took lots of guts. I feel people are too scared of colour but I really love colour and wanted to keep it in this shoot. I hope you like the photos even if you agree or disagree with me keeping them in colour.

Magazine Release Tomorrow

Hey everyone,

Well the day is nearly here and its nearly time for you all to see the first Issue of the magazine. I have worked so hard on this magazine over the past four months and have had a great team behind me. It started off with a small idea in my head one morning and through the support of others we are about to publish the first issue. So again THANK YOU to all of those who have helped me. Those who are going to view the magazine and have invited friends and shared my links of images.

I hope you all enjoy my little baby and come back for more when Issue Two is released.

Busy Boy T-shirt

So.... last week I had a very busy time. I worked on a music video with Milletti Films for the wonderful Steph Hargreaves next music video for a song called numbing. You can see my images of Steph that I took the other day which will be used in Image 34 magazine which first issue comes out Monday. 



So after 3 very long days of some being 24 hours with only 3 hours sleep I then did my own photoshoot. The shoot was for a t-shirt company called Busy Boy and was shot late Sunday evening. We were going for a very fresh look to help the t-shirts stand out with bright colours which was different to what I usually shoot. I also went for a very fresh looking model who is alternative called Tasha B. She was super friendly and great to work with and had so much energy on the shoot even in the freezing cold.

The images will be used in Image 34 first issue. But until then you can check out the behind the scenes video and here are some teaser images to keep you going.  

 I want to say a massive thank you to the crew who were amazing and helped me create this shoot.  I also have some other great shoots planned and can’t wait to show you all soon.  Also I have some very exciting news and all I'm going to say is as a hint is that it begins with a “V”
